We visited dreamy white-washed Tangier first in 2015 and again in 2017. Although it was just a tiny bite-sized taste of one city, we realized this country warranted further exploration. On our list are Marrakech, Fez, and Chefchaouen.
From Tangier, we visited the peaceful town of Tetouan. Known as the daughter of “Granada”, it’s a city with Hispano-Moorish footmarks. Its medina is listed as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.
Another great excursion was to the mystical Caves of Hercules, a set of interconnected grottos facing the Atlantic Ocean. It has an opening in the shape of Africa which is truly cool.
