Dubai
Dubai is a city known for explosive growth best expressed in superlatives. The largest city in the United Arab Emirates, it was nothing but desert 100 years ago. Today the Burj Khalifa, an 830m-tall tower, dominates a skyline filled with more than 240 skyscrapers taller than 490 ft. Dubai is synonymous with gleaming modern towers, massive yachts, bigger-than-life resorts and luxury shopping.
