South Africa

In September 2021 we visited South Africa. The main goal was to take in some safaris, so we spent part of that time in Kruger National Park. After an amazing stay in a couple of different camps, our drive took us past Blyde River Canyon where we made a few scenic stops.

The other primary goal was to visit Cape Town, one of the world’s most spectacular cities. It did not disappoint. We went up to the top of Table Mountain for the stunning panoramic views, then visited the Cape of Good Hope at Cape Point National Park. We had brunch in Noordhoek, which was a cool neighborhood. While we were having brunch in town, we watched a woman go through a nearby drive-through window… on a horse! After a photo stop at Bo Kaap, we headed to Boulder’s Beach to see the African penguins. No trip to the Cape would be complete without a stop at Stellenbosch and Franschhoek, the gorgeous wine country, and it was amazing (at least what I can remember of it).

It’s all about the wildlife in South Africa!
