We had a short visit to Honduras in 2009, and we spent it snorkeling in Roatán. Roatán is an island in the Caribbean, about 40 miles off the northern coast of Honduras. It’s located near the Mesoamerican Barrier Reef, the second largest in the world, so the snorkeling is fantastic.
