The Republic of Georgia was a recent discovery. Back in 2021, during the pandemic, we were searching for somewhere that Americans were able to visit, as many countries were restricting U.S. citizens. Georgia made the list and boy are we glad, because it turned out to be an absolutely amazing trip. See how we spent our week in Georgia.
Georgia is a fabulous country with a rich history, amazing food and wine, and absolutely breathtaking scenery. Georgia is the birthplace of wine, producing for over 8,000 years. We did some wine tastings, visited several vineyards in three wine regions, and even met a master winemaker whose presentation was instrumental in UNESCO’s recognition of the ancient Georgian traditional qvevri wine-making method.
